Rosemont Community Foundation Wins Grant

RCF has received a $5,000 grant from State Farm Insurance to support a new program, Rosemont Revitalized. This is a joint effort of the RCF and RCA, and is intended to develop and deliver various services that will enhance the economic, safety and living conditions in the Rosemont community.

Program activities will expand on efforts already underway in Rosemont by RCF and RCA, and include informing and engaging residents and businesses in the community about actions they can take to improve their safety and property values; supporting local businesses and the community business climate; and developing area signage and materials to clearly identify and build a heightened sense of community in Rosemont.

The Rosemont Revitalized program will involve a strong safety enhancement element and expanded on-line resources. Motivation for Rosemont Revitalized is the fact that historic levels of service from Sacramento County are not available due to budget reductions.

This program will help minimize negative effects of those reductions, and to strengthen the many positive attributes of Rosemont.

RCF President Gary Vorce expressed great appreciation to State Farm Insurance for its generous support and recognition of the value of strong, safe communities.

Vorce said, “Clearly, State Farm sees the benefit to the community and itself in helping keep property values up and crime down – key elements of a great neighborhood like Rosemont.”

RCF is looking for other businesses and individuals who share this vision of a better Rosemont and who would consider joining in support of the Rosemont Revitalized program.
